After a cold and rainy winter followed by an episode of frost in April, mild and rainy weather took over in early May and contributed to a slightly delayed flowering, causing millerandage in many plots (small grapes ). In June, the hot and dry summer set in for a long time and the harvest began at the end of September under a beautiful sun. Vinification: after fermentation in whole bunches for two weeks, the red wines are aged in oak barrels in our 15th century cellars for a period ranging from 15 to 18 months, with a moderate proportion of new barrels.
Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of red fruit (cherry) with a hint of chocolate and a delicate vanilla note. Concentrated, well-crafted and generous. Beautiful fruit combination enhanced by an elegant oak note and well-defined tannins. Long aftertaste.
