The Venezia Giulia Sauvignon Blanc from Attems was born in the vineyards of Lucinico, located in the Collio Goriziano area, on the hills of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
It is produced exclusively with Sauvignon Blanc grapes, harvested only by hand in the first and third week of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and in oak barrels at controlled temperature. Subsequently the ageing takes place for 2 months in oak barrels and for 4 months in stainless steel tanks.
Friuli Sauvignon Blanc are typical. Differently from France or New zealand version, here Sauvignon Blanc retains the high acidity and green notes, although more tomato leaf and minerality come to expression, which makes more suitable for food-pairing.
