Chénas Quartz represent what a Cru Beaujolais can be at its best, complex, powerful, mineral, structured, with a long finish, and a good capacity for ageing in bottle. The nose is complex, black and red fruits, spices (white and black peper), and more and more floral after 3-4 years in Bottle. The place where Quartz is produced is looking like the Côte Rôtie, full of granites with quartz, facing south east, very steep and rocky.
