La Grande Année is an intense, rich, and complex wine with majestic density, each vintage bringing its own unique signature. Its incomparable texture and depth of aromas make it the ideal partner for fine dining.
Produced only when a harvest achieves perfect balance, this cuvée embodies the artistry mastered by the men and women of the House, enhancing an exceptional vintage. The 2018 vintage is characterized by its elegance and finesse, with a rich bouquet of ripe fruit and floral notes, followed by a long, smooth finish.
La Grande Année 2018 is a blend of 19 crus, mainly from Verzenay, Aÿ, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ for the 66% Pinot Noir, and Chouilly and Cuis for the 34% Chardonnay.
Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels and maturation occurs under cork, with aging in the cellar lasting more than twice as long as required by the appellation rules. The dosage is moderate at 6 grams per liter.
