Niizawa Brewery established in 1873 in Miyagi Prefecture. NIIZAWA Brewery owned by 5th generation brewer Mr. Iwao Niizawa. The 2011 earthquake devatated the region, and forced to move to a safer and higher land for new brewing facility. The brewery's mission is to brew sake for perfect good matching. They believe good sake can bring out the flavour in good food as well as achieving harmony. His sake was selected to be one of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Official Sake products, and is currently served by JAL for their first and business class passengers. Zankyo Super 7 is the super premium series, and the annual production is limited to 999 bottles.

It takes 350 hours for milling rice to RPR 7% and aged in brewery one year at ice temperature in order to complete the superb taste. Elegant aroma of grape, citrus, strawberry and flora.
