Espolon Tequila is a handcrafted, award-winning spirit produced in Los Altos, the Highlands region of Jalisco, Mexico, at the San Nicolas Distillery by the Master Distiller – or Maestro Tequilero – Cirilo Oropeza. It is made from 100% hand-harvested Blue Weber Agave, reflecting the marriage of Mexican tradition with modern techniques. The tequila undergoes a double distillation process using both column and pot stills, resulting in a smooth and balanced agave-forward flavor profile.
Espolòn Anejo is aged for at least 12 months in new American white oak casks, then finished for at least 1 month in heavily charred ex-Wild Turkey bourbon barrels. This aging process imparts rich and complex flavors from the barrels, similar to whiskey, resulting in a perfectly balanced and well-rounded character with a bright reddish-gold color. It offers a medium to full-bodied experience with a velvety mouthfeel. The flavor profile achieves a complex balance of roasted agave and wood, with subtle notes of caramel, vanilla, dried fruits, butterscotch and chocolate. Perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks, but can also be enjoyed in cocktails, like a spin on a classic, the Añejo Old Fashioned
