The brewery was founded in 1716. Since then, the company’s philosophy is to provide outstanding quality sake by making it in a traditional way. They pray for happiness (Fuku) to come (Rai) along the drinkers’ way while making the sake, and made up the name of the brewery as Raifuku. They use about 20 different types of sake rice and 10 various kinds of yeast. Furthermore, they use flower yeast (natural yeast from flowers) to make sake which is new and special in today’s Japanese sake industry.
